adj. [Gr. proso, forward; klinein, to slant]
1. (MOLLUSCA: Bivalvia)
Hinge teeth or shell sloping anteriorly.
2. (MOLLUSCA: Gastropoda)
Usually referring to growth lines leaning forward (adapically) with respect to the direction of the helicocone.
